  • It depends on what type of work you do. Pen and paper offer more ubiquity and are more dependable, but software offers redundancy and versatility. If you're taking business notes and have constant access to a laptop, I highly recommend Microsoft OneNo

  • It's hard to carry a laptop around with you all of the time, and in any case, I find it difficult to write straight to a computer anyway. I always carry a pen and a notebook on my travels, as that's when I get my best inspiration.

  • My personal recommendation....both. A notebook is great for on the go collection of information, quick, easy and portable. Being, however, that you are on the go, it may not be set up and organized exactly the way you want it to. So take it home and dump all the information into the appropriate area, if it is a date, it goes on your calendar, if it is raw information it goes in Evernote etc... I hope this helps!

  • Digital for remembering and sharing information, paper to help you think things through. The advantages of digital are searching, tagging, chronological ordering, and online sharing. For this purpose I highly recommend http://notepub.com
