It was your typical Friday evening on November 9th, 2007, except this particular evening a bunch of people were in the Hodges room at Georgia Tech's Advanced Technology Development Center. It was the first day of Atlanta's first Startup Weekend. People went up to pitch their ideas for projects to start and launch over the next 54 hours. After much deliberation, Paul Stamatiou's idea for a user-generated topic suggestion tool (flows right off your tongue, huh?) was chosen. Fast-forward 27 months and Skribit is still in active development.

Paul Stamatiou is a 23 year old Georgia Tech alumnus who is obsessed with all things tech. He shares his passion of technology on his blog, PaulStamatiou.com. Paul's tech blog has grown over the years and has given him some interesting opportunities such as starring in his own Nike commercial.
Calvin Yu is 30 year old software developer living in Atlanta. He has spent the last 10+ years developing software for startups and in the enterprise. Outside of technology, Calvin enjoys movies, video games and is MIA every Sunday during football season. Calvin blogs about his life and technology at Don't Forget to Plant It!
Lance Weatherby is an Internet business geek and the grey hair advisor to the Skribit team. Having been a leader at MindSpring, EarthLink and CipherTrust he is currently a Venture Catalyst at Georgia Tech's technology incubator. Alex Coomans is a 17 year old developer living in Phoenix, Arizona. He enjoys writing tutorials (but not essays), coding just about anything, and dreaming up far-fetched ideas. Alex plans on blogging soon.
